I've been away, and now I'm back

Two weeks in Iceland with a car. No phone, no internet, no tv, newspaper, radio. None of it. Oh, and especially no pollen. Up in the morning to a good breakfast.

Hit the road, hike all day through the volcanic landscape, walking off the stress of work and home...

Then into a hot tub full of spring water heated naturally underground, followed by dinner and an excellent sleep. Repeat 14 times.

Oh, and shopping....

This trip is in my top three best ever. Stay tuned.

That's a place I want to go. I want to ride some of those Icelandic horses, too. Looking forward to more info. I just saw a news story that prices are astronomical there because of the financial crisis -- looks like you managed some yarn...
I'm very glad you liked it! where did you go?

That looks like a Dutch breakfast. Mmmm, cheese.

I just watched an Icelandic film recently http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0805576/ Very good, especially if you like Indridason's books.

I'm glad you had such a good and restorative time and look forward to seeing more amazing landscapes.
